Chilis Grill & Bar Restaurant

We heard a lot about Chilis right? Our fellow classmate working there, and you can hear it during every practical class. So, after the role play Fui Shan & me went to Mid Valley, I wanna buy new shoe she wanna buy new traditional clothes(for 2009 Chinese New Year perhaps?). I'm not sure what is wrong the idea of trying out at Chilis just came to us, then we decided to give it a try.

It was full when we were there at 8pm, you can see there's a lot of guest still waiting. We went off but then turned back to Chilis because I saw the portion of the food, my gosh~! It's tantalizing!! We waited about 15 minutes before they seat us, it's a very busy day, so you can't expect good service from them. A lot of people were celebrating their birthday in Chilis, I don't know why but at least 4 people shared the same birthday just now! Isn't this astonishing?

It wasn't disappointing, but somehow I prefer to eat buffet cause I can eat as much as I can and there's a lot of varieties. The 2 entrees + drinks already cost around RM80++ so I'd rather go for a buffet. Shangri-La Hotel is my next target, after Legend Hotel & Seri Pacific Hotel...

Role Play!!

Eventually, the day has come.. today is the role play. Actually, this role play/drama is part of our assignment for the Social Psychology of Tourism. We need to get 30 audiences(like we have that amount of students in the college??), guess what only like 15-20 students including seniors and juniors, that's good enough I think.

We finish the whole thing approximately at 5pm, we can feel the relief after so much preparation we've done. I thought I did great, did I? Except my laughing part on stage of course! The juniors just keep teasing I can't help it, everything seems to be amusing and odd.

Everyone can't wait to go home after it end~!

Peaceful monday

I'm uploading the videos of freak show, but it's kind of slow and my Windows Xp blocked Fui Shan's SD Card, so I can't upload most of the video that took from her camera. Meanwhile, I'm uploading more photos, some people just enjoy watching videos and look at photos.

Can u see the rat in McDonalds? Next time by chance that any lecturer happen to mention about hygiene, cleanliness of a restaurant etc, just say that you don't mind cause there's rats in McDonalds. I remembered Mr.Jason said "you all know cleanliness of a restaurant is important, but still you go to kedai mamak upstairs." Who give a damn? A fast food restaurant have rats?

Life at work, I shall speak no evil. So boring we just fooling around in the fitting room...

I think I will have more videos by tomorrow cause we have a role play for the Tourism subject. I really hate group assignments, I don't know why lecturer like to torture us by giving us group work. Yes we do need team work, but there's no team spirit between some of us, none of them has been exerting themself, they don't even try... they just wait for others to do something.

Certainly there's also some good things while working together, we get to know others more, especially if we need to cooperate with the other batch. I felt so bad cause I was kind of moody just now, I left quite some bad impression to others. I think others can understand it since this is our first ever subject that not only spilt into 2 assignments but also 2 group assignments. To hinder us, she put us into different groups with different people for each assignment. I'm sure everyone one/every group do their work last minute, and last minute work is usually messy... so I think we can feel the stress?

It is a good experience working with others, still I don't like group assignments. A simple flaw will affect others, do you concur?

Boring night, I'm starving... I ate nothing but chicken for lunch then I ate the stupid cereal that Ah Bend recommended, of course it'll taste nice at first you eat it, after a while it's like eating plain rice with soy sauce? Beng are u torturing me?? I hate diet~

This video is about our fight with Nicholas the freak, we went to KLCC for our survey, for the subject Social Psychology of Tourism. Another group went to Mid Valley and we're the 2 special group that got chased out from the buildings. This is because no one told us we need to get permission from management if you want to do any survey, and he's talking about common sense?? If this is a common sense, how come none of us know?? Lucky they already finish the survey question and the security guard came later, telling us :"Miss, you tak boleh buat survey di sini, kena minta dengan management. You kena keluar daripada sini."

Then I was like, 'what the hell?' I said: "Keluar daripada KLCC??" He said yes... then~ the rest is history.

We're not late for Mr.Jason class today, he didn't notice... fucking retard didn't scold or mention that in fact one the student were late for 2 hours! Not going to say who... you know it. As a matter of fact, his 'period'/mental illness is over today, he's very nice to us and talk a lot of crap.

Me & Fui Shan washed all the dishes today, it's nice to be inside the kitchen not outside service cause I don't need to social(as if you don't know I'm anti-social?) After service, we talk crap again... I never even bother to listen cause I'm actually excited for the role play practice.

Not working today, I've got a new uniform... it's even worse than the brown colour one, I just hate it!

Second video is about Ah Beng is our server of the day, he's doing menu presentation. He looks funny and scary at the same time. How can you serve your guest without knowing the menu well? Every time I ask a question then he'll say 'Good question, I'm not sure about that.' Huh~!

The third video is the last week DHT 40 practical day, we sucked so bad that Mr.Jason got mad! Took the video without his knowledge, he kept saying 'all of you done nothing, didn't take any initiative, this is bad, this is the worst... etc etc'. Today, he said 'to all of you, if I'd offended you, I'm not going to apologize but I'm gonna say this, welcome to the real world'. Totally bullshit, wasting my time listening to his shit! Am I living in a imagination world right now?

Thursday class last week, I did sweet rolls(again) and the rice thing? Aaahhhhhhhhh~~~*crying*, I don't want to practice 'breast massage' no more.... huhuhuhuhuhuuhh~~~~ so boring doing that stupid bread, but I need to do it anyway, they're short of people.

Soup taste weird...? Umm... I don't know the word for it? Only a few people say it's nice, it's a cold soup, Spanish Cuisine I think. Appetizer was my favourite, other things like main course are so so, I didn't get to eat it. I don't want to do the massage thing this Thursday please~!

New Home(Well, I mean room)

Finally I can use Internet, I'm hungry and tired.. don't know where to start.

Alright then.... Thursday was a tiring day as usual, not to mention boring because of the Business English. It's funny when recall back what Vivien said:"I don't know why we're taking this class, like we don't know how to speak English!" TOTALLY AGREE! 9 of us had lunch in Lagenda Cafe, I think it's the first time Naidu & Shawn went to to eat, aren't they afraid of diarrhea? Apparently I would be glad to get diarrhea... umm... cause I don't need to do exercise in order to lose weight. WOW~ good idea huh?

We got English test that day, 9 of us are late including Naidu & Shawn, ChongJeck Peng, Tara & Nadia, and of course The Powerpuff Girls also. 2.15pm, test haven't start, as always Mrs. Amara always 'make' us go for her class, can't stop nagging(public nuisance) and bla bla bla... and so, we're just in time for the test. Her instructions were clear, but somehow some other students asked her to repeat and she got mad?? Period, that's the first thing came to my mind. She asked us to draw a poster, the 'Look! with the eyes between words' was amusing, wondering since when Business English has become Persatuan Seni?

Went back home quite late already, had some misunderstanding with PN. BAD!!(No question please) Came back from work at 10pm, start packing for the next day... I'm MOVING!!! We slept at 3.30am because I talked with my brother for like 1 hour++, first time I used video call... amazing~ Ah Beng asked me why not pack our things 1 or 2 weeks before.. I don't know what to say, it was actually because.. ummm... we're inactive/no time/no mood/depressed/sluggish etc... too many excuses, you pick which one you think the best... wow~ you're fortunate cause I'm giving you choice.

Friday, the day has come... Like I said, I woke up after the third alarm, it's 8.20am? Still sleepy, we got a beautiful panda eyes but no choice we need to get up. Start moving about 9am, Ah Beng & Guan Jie came at the right time, they helped a lot!!! Don't know I need to move till when if we move without them!! The house and kitchen is dirty, it really looks unpleasant, I need to clean it so Guan Jie stay with me and Fui Shan & Ah Beng move the things.Thank God and thanks to both of you!! Later, we had our lunch at KFC. We're starving and I think it's quite understanding that in that kind of situation, one will eat a lot(& I don't mean me).

After the Henny's class, we went to work and bump into Raja & Mr. Jason!! How 'nice'~?? Again, we start unpacking then sleep late again. Sigh~, I really don't want to move again till I finish my Diploma.

Lagenda Cafe Lunch

This is the day that Ah Beng became the manager, it was last week if I'm not mistaken. His parents came to support him too, full house that day, no turnover that's why he can't beat the DHT40 record, we made RM537!! Luckily I didn't order the other cuisine, forgot what cuisine it was. Fui Shan & Yue Ann's soup taste so bad, Ann said as though they served dessert as a soup. Ann made one kind of expression, Mr.Jason approached and tell him to stay professional.

Yesterday I had my lunch at Lagenda Cafe too, 6 of us including Tara, Nadia, Fui Shan, & Chong Jeck Beng. 4 of us had Philippines cuisine, only Tara & Jeck had the Portuguese cuisine. I guess Jeck want to be hospitalised for appendix again because he wanted to try something from the other kitchen? Appetizer of the day was somewhat like fried 'kangkung' with carrot? The fried thingy was nice but the carrot... ermmm... just okay. Soup was the best, the main course beef taste just like Chinese pork, called "Ko Lo Yok"? Worst food of the day was the deesert, I don't even wanna know the name of that thing~~ especially the creamy jelly on a chinese soup spoon, with fried coconut? That's what Nai Nai 2(Jason) told us. Nadia didn't touch the dessert at all, and not to mention about the beverage of the day, it's just a normal apple juice and they charged me RM3 for that?

Suddenly I'm so proud to be in DHT40 cause our batch always serve the best mocktail ever!!!! ahahahahahahaahaa.... now somebody's going to kick my ass! Please don't be sad because this is the truth! Ah Beng has about 50/60 guests today, but they're serving free food like they always do, didn't charge for it. See I told you they can never beat our record!! Hooray!!! That's it for today, tata~!

The Diary of 2nd August

I don't know what is wrong with me today, I wanted to update my blog. ChongPeng's the lunatic fellow tell all his friends about my blog, can you imagine how angry am I?? But you know what, I don't even care cause it's not Connie who wrote it... it's my twin sister Nie Nie(hush~! please don't tell anyone okay?)
I went to Genting Highland on the 2nd of August for the MTV Asia Awards. Woke up so early~ at 6am, I put my alarm at 5am but of course I can't wake up that early, can I? At 6.30am we went to KL Sentral by KTM, I heard that we can take a bus from there to Genting but guess what? When we arrived there there's one notice written "NEXT BUS: 2.00PM". Then, we proceed to Gombak, same thing happen at least the next bus is 11am. We decided to take taxi, cost RM20 per person because we really don't wanna miss for the red carpet, and we reached there around 10.30am.

Luckily they still have room for walk-in guest, we wanted to book online nice deal of packages it seems, unfortunately we got only debit card and those online booking are meant for credit card users. The room cost about RM215 per night, without breakfast, well I think it's quite expensive for a 3-star hotel. However, Fui Shan & me agreed that we will rather sleep at lobby if there's no room, I mean what choice do we have? So, apparently we're really crazy about celebrities... do you get the point now?? RM215 hotel room was really lousy, we need to walk to the other building it's called Valley Wing, I always got the last room, but this is time it's second last, am I lucky?

Arrived Genting around 10.30am, or earlier I forgot but it's kinda something like that. Wait for check-in, there's only 3 front office workers(how lame is that), check-in time is 3pm. We asked for earlier, she gave us 2.30pm. We got nothing to do, we walk to First World, quite far from Theme Park Hotel, it's like a 5-10 minutes walk? Around noon, we walked back to our hotel, and ohh my goddddddd!!!!!!! I saw flashing and heard screaming from the entrance of Arena of Stars!! Then only I realize the celebrities finished their rehearsal and came out. I'm not sure who's the group but most probably it's Panic! At The Disco and One Republic? Anyway, the real person is really cute, I mean real good-looking not Ah Beng's version of dictionary: cute means ugly but nice to look at... I wonder where you bought the dictionary, no wonder you got 7D... ooopppss!! I did it again! I saw Karen Mok too, she's a real belle! She got long & sexy legs, the real person is like huge different from photos, especially from the movie "The God of Cookery".. ermmm... maybe the effect of concealer?

It was so boring after that, got the keys of the room and then rest about half an hour. I asked the receptionist about the red carpet, he told us the venue but..... they said the red carpet is for those who got tickets only. We were like "WHAT??!!" "So what the hell are we doing HERE?!" So disappointed and regret that we came here.... Anyway we didn't give up, keep asking around about the red carpet thing, finally we saw the entrance place, we asked the security whether we can stand and wait for them outside and they said can.

We went outside and it was 3.30pm, we're the first to arrive, the securities were kind they said they will let us stand behind the road block(something like that I don't know the word) if there's nobody around. Then we realized that it's impossible cause there's like more and more coming.... Waited for quite long and started to rain because of the heavy fog, we didn't leave the place and no matter what we won't. I went there just to see Super Junior actually and in case you don't know they're a popular Korean boy band with 13 members(1 from China). That day, only 11 of them came but I was quite happy anyway, Ee Teuk look like a barbie doll, they're all very handsome(of course there's always an exception: Ye Sung was the most ugly one)!

When Super Junior arrived I screamed like HELL!! Everyone stared at me yes I noticed that, I was standing on a divider(they plant flowers and I stepped on it), I pulled/cut/grab/damaged the flower anything you wanna call it cause it keeps poking my leg and it's really irritating~!! I screamed EeTeuk at first, he waved, then I saw ShiWon, so attractive I wanted to faint on the spot, then I saw KangIn, I yelled his name and it's obvious that he's quite shock but he waved back!! I told Fui Shan that I wanna be friendly cause.. you know I'm in the hospitality industry we have to be friendly right? What I did is, I just waved and shout for all the celebs who came. Saw the Nicole of PCD, Karen Mok & Jared, Stephanie Sun and etc.... I took a lot of photos but it was blur, I just can't stop yelling like a mad women, and by the way also lazy to upload it's already 1.32am now, did I mention about that?

Approximately 7pm, the red carpet finished, the crews came out the fans started to leave.. The mist were really thick, it's getting cold and that Fish Cake wear 3 or 4 piece of clothes as though it's Winter up there. Again, it's boring, we went to the cinema and watched Blackjack 21, watched The Mummy 3 at 1.30am finished at 3.30am. Damn! It was really cold in the morn, we walked back to Theme Park Hotel, I was trembling but pretend that it's not that cold if not Fish Cake will keep nagging that "So cold and don't want to wear sweater??" "Why you brought sweater and never wear it??" and blah blah blah... At hotel we met the MTV crews, they were from Singapore(Beng, ur fav.), just talk with them for a while, learned that they came 1 week earlier to prepare the set.

I really disappointed with The Mummy 3, however my classmate said it was nice... I don't know why??? The son is like 30+ but parents didn't grow old?? I don't want to say much or people will scold me. I used to go to the international site complaint about lousy movies like Cast Away(worse than I Am Legend), guess what they scolded me like HELL, replied some negative and really sarcastic comments!! *cry* please anyone console me? After a while, fed up and I didn't go comment anything anymore... ahahahahahahahaha
